I'm not jumping the gun on this one because the Racists Members of the Fredericton Police Force raided my place one year ago under the Child Sexual Exploitation but at the end it was a false charge.
Same in this Case???

No, you're not jumping the gun, you've just convicted him of being a child pornographer with your headline.
You, of all people, should know better.
Your arrest and the seizure of your computer equipment, at this point anyway, is no different than what has happened in Saint John. Ultimately, you were found to have not committed an offence. What happens if that's the case in Saint John? Will you blog an apology? A retraction? Likely not.
I didn't read anything about 'conviction'. He said he was ARRESTED, well, charles was ARRESTED as well, and we saw how that turned out.
His headline seems appropriate, although the CBC didn't want to go that far. The RCMP child porn unit admitted it was 'involved' in the file, but like stale alcohol, until we know for sure, we don't know.
But for Charles' blog thats actually a pretty responsible headline and story.
Two other points-I notice that this politician was FIRST brought in for questioning. However, I don't recall Charles being brought in first for questioning before they raided his house.
And second, I notice CBC is letting all the racists have free reign on the native stories yet won't allow any comments on the child porn stories. A little inconsistent I think.
That being said Jost, there's alot of possibilities that could've ended up on his machine. The obvious one is, yes, he did find some.
The other possibility is that someone hitched a ride on his home connection, surfed some kiddie porn, and dumped it on his rig. IF that is the case, and Snook had his connection unsecured or using a known vunurable encryption algorythim (WEP). Guess what, he's still going to get hit with the charge because he did not do his due diligence when it comes to securing his wifi.
I know there's alot of big educated words in my post LeBlanc, but I'm sure a man of your intelligence (pfft) can understand what I said.
For that matter, somebody could have broken in his HOUSE and used HIS computer. Sure, and the guy with the smoking gun COULD have just picked it up. Even if you DO secure your wifi somebody can break into it, and you can't be arrested for 'not doing due diligence on your wifi'.
Every case is going to be different, but like the Miramichi principal, usually where there's smoke, there's fire. Especially in this case police would know before hand just what a scandal this would be, and what the result would be if they were mistaken.
From reports I've seen in the past, police don't just get an IP address and go and arrest everybody at the premises. Investigations have to PROVE that the person involved is the person who committed the crime.

There has been a long, ongoing investigation by the RCMP. He has been in trouble over such things before. It is not possible for it to be a mistake or someone using his computer.
I want answers :(
Snook had allegations against him several years ago and the victim chickened out and recanted. Now he won't enter a plea until he sees all the evidence? If you're accused of something you didn't do, you immediately declare your innocence long and loud because you know there IS NO EVIDENCE!
