I am a Graduate from 2004, I also suffered Bulling for 4 years. Nothing was ever done,it is sad that almost 8 years later and the problem is bigger then ever and they still don't have a clue how to deal with it. Instead of threatening the students that are protesting with there diploma and prom and so on maybe he should be threatening the bullies with this stuff.

great coverage of the students. It's sad other students were made to be fearful of taking a stand and exercising their right to freedom of speech and expression.
Well done!

Congratulations to the students of LHHS for taking a stand and expressing their opinion, and speaking freely. The principal should have listened.

Your principal,is of the era where protest was rampant! Your principal knows what protest is, and what it can achieve. You're principal has become part of the system that he at one time, probably resented.

Many of our politicians are in the same position. Oh, sure, when I was younger, but NOT now. Oh really? Why not now? Is it because you are financially raking it in at the moment and life is good. Welcome to the 21'st century version of the 1950's. Go on now boy' make the pretty lady happy.

Don't get me started.

Spoke with a student who helps organize the protest today. He got suspended for 3 weeks. That principal is a friggin' moron.

I am a Graduate from 2008 never suffered bullying although many who claimed that they where victims in my opinion where trouble makers themselves... the kind of people who today as adults are still ratting out (so to speak) their neighbors and just anyone they see who passes near them as was their habit at high school.

There are problems alright but not real bullying as no ever believes it just tough talk and wimpy cry babys... no really being hurt.

That is true I am Grad 2010 never ever say anyone get hurt no one ever touches anyone, it is just that gangsta rap crap talk that is a unfortunate style of talking.

I do not approve of that kind of talk but there is no reason to react in such exaggerated ways about these things.

I must wonder what is the real purpose of all this excitement... likely more control which is not desirable.

Everyone especially hates the police being around and that is likely what this is all about more police interference.

Schools are already much like p;risons from what I can see.

to 11.37 and 6.20 not all bullying is seen - you are assuming it is all physical but it is words, comments and intimidation as well and your assumptions show very clearly that you do not uderstand bullying. If the pupils themselves do not even understand it then the whole school need an education from their principle. 5.17 - you are so right, the wrong pupils are being threatened. I know that "they" do already know how to prevent bullying altogether - it is called zero tolerance, investigation and sanctions against offenders. It also requires help being given to the bullies - counselling for one to find out what makes them so unhappy that they need to victimise others. The schools already know how to stop it they just won't - the agenda in this province is to use every tool to keep education standards low (bullying is proven to cause lower grades) and a very oppressed population that is easily manipulated by a very corrupt government. The best thing you can do if you are bullied is indeed home schooling and if that is not possible do your own extra studies - don't let them grind you down. Thank you so much to the brave students and posters who are speaking out.
