Fredericton Police Gestapo are playing dirty with the less fortunate!

Many people are telling me it's not Racist against the poor but I believe it is!! Just heard on the Police Scanner that a guy was stopped and the dispatcher said- He has to report once per week on Wednesday before 4:30pm! It was 4:32pm!!! They hauled the guy to jail!!! Bullshit!!!!

Other than the fact that this person was detained and you heard about it on your police scanner, how can you claim they the Fredericton police are playing dirty? Your claims are unsubstantiated and piece meal. If you are going to report on the news, you should at least adhere to the principles of journalism: http://www.journalism.org/resources/principles

Charles LeBlanc is the National Enquirer of the Fredericton blogosphere. People know to take him with a grain of salt, but he keeps them on their toes because often he comes up with some doozies that nail someone - just like the Enquirer.

I agree with him too. The fact is, its an important story, and should be checked. We have no idea whether it is, or whether you just made it up. Contrary to the above, IF Charles just wants to be the National Enquirer that's his business, but I doubt it is. I don't recall the NE getting too many pulitzers for any reporting its done. If Charles wants to simply be considered a laughingstock that nobody takes seriously that's his business. But the reality is that this blog is about social issues that need addressing. If Charles wants them actually addressed, then people need facts.

So who was this person? How hard would it be to find them and interview them? How hard would it be to interview parolees and find out whether this stuff actually happens or whether Charles has simply misunderstood what he's heard?

I don't take issue with Charles, if he has something to say then let him say it. However don't get your shirt in a knot when someone takes offence. Know what to say when, and how to say it. Speak clearly and be mature. Taking silly pictures of the police and putting thought bubbles above them is juvenile and cannot be taken seriously. I always feel when someone makes and intelligent argument and others scoff at them, it usually means they know nothing of importance and are not intelligent enough to the carry the conversation.
