They may be 'real experts' at selling us a bill of goods, perhaps. Their talking points are all about the 'benefits'. No one in the industry or government camps seem willing to address the real hard and literally sickening costs if this were to go ahead.

Impacts to air quality, devaluation of real estate property, extraordinary high volumes of truck traffic on marginal, secondary rural roads, overwhelming potential for toxic spills and noise pollution, well casing fatigue, embarrassingly small royalty payments, etc, etc, etc....

Industry watch dogs such as engineering PhD's from Cornell, biologists from Alberta and the US, Mayors from Texas, and, yes, fellow citizens from Taymouth and surrounding communities with expertise in environmental monitoring, science research, biology, geology, economics and ecology say this is a bad idea, to put it in the mildest terms.

You better ask yourself again who the real experts are, because this industry and our bureaucracy are full of charlatans willing to sell us down a river of wastes. The practice of horizontal hydraulic fracturing of shale is little more than 15 years old. Don't buy into their song and dance routine. Don't overlook the fact that the industry's hired gun is the sister of the Minister of Energy; Bought and sold.
