THE CITY OF FREDERICTON VS THE SCOTS!!! A POINT OF NO-RETURN?? THE CITY COULD LOSE THE NEW BRUNSWICK HIGHLAND GAMES!!!!!

Am I off the wall on this one?

I don't believe so!!

Most of New Brunswickers will not understand how it is to live with the Scottish Gene!!!

It is not a happy Gene.

It's a gene that is full of anger, frustration and courageous!!!

You must have heard of the Simpson Character - Willie??

Well? The creator Matt Groening wasn't far off the mark!!!

Quick tempered and just will not back down from a fight.

Let me get personal on this Blog for a minute.

Me mother was born in Glasgow Scotland and she didn't have a happy life. < still isn't happy to this day!!! >

This is me Mother!!!

She was the only child to Scottish Parents and one day she was escorted to a plane at the age of 16 years old and shipped to Canada!!!

That was that!!!

She grew up very angry and this Blogger being the oldest of the Family did received the same treatment from his Mother.

This wasn't a relation like the Paul Simon song- Love you like a rock!!

I haven't sat down and chat with me Mother for 20 years!!

It's an awful Gene!!! Even my own Family < Uncles, Aunts and Cousins just cannot believe what is happening > No closeness in my Family!!!

Once we turned??? WE TURNED!!!!

There's no forgiving!! We don't forget and that's the way it is!!!

Well? During the last Provincial Election, I stood outside of Rick Miles office with a sign.

The workers quickly ran outside asking - Charles? What's going on????

I told them the reason I was protesting.

They quickly replied - MY GOD???? THAT WAS OVER THREE YEARS AGO!!!!

I reminded them of my Scottish Genes so therefore I just had to protest.

Fight??? Of course, we can fight and fight we will!!!

We will stand up and be verbal!!!

If the situation turns to violence? We can quickly join in!!

Anyone who grew up with me in Memramcook or Saint John truly knows that I can take care of myself. Nothing better than a good old fist fight to get rid of that Scottish Frustrations!

But in my case? My ADHD < Father side > comes in very handy!!!

After a fist fight? Ahhhhhh....we feel so good but there's only one itty bitty problem???

THE SCOTTISH GENE RETURNS IN 5 TO 10 MINUTES!!! ARGHH!!!!!!!

Yes, the Scottish breed is an angry Culture. I see myself talking to myself in anger while I'm walking the streets!!! < Embarrassing >

Why do you think I ended in Fredericton in the first place???

I was angry with the Racists members of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission < Still angry at this bunch >

They wouldn't listen to me so I ended up in the Capital.

I set up a tent in front of the New Brunswick Legislature.

The Bernard Lord Government told the media - The guy is an idiot!!! Just ignore him and it'll go away!!!

Well I stayed in that tent for Six Months!!!

OK...NEVER MIND ME ME ME!!

This little battle between the Scots and the City of Fredericton could really get out of hand.

The Scots around this Province might get angry and really go against the City of Fredericton!!!

This could get together and tell the City that the Highland Games will no longer be held in Fredericton.

This Blogger have never been a fan of the Highland Games because I believed they were a bunch of Scottish Snobs.

Even if they're Snobs? They're Scottish therefore they could turned against the City.

I'm just a Blogger but if I was the City of Fredericton? I would act on this issue very quickly before this issue gets way out of hand.

I would apologized to the Scot Population on Monday evening and announce they will pay the $80,000 for the Robert Burns Statue!!!!

The Highland Games have paid this amount 20 times over!!!

If the City of Fredericton don't act on this issue?

This will lose at the end.

Scottish people don't forget!!! Trust me I know!!!

I hope the City of Fredericton does the right thing before it's too late.

Trust me, the Highland Games will be transfered somewhere else if this issue continues?

Second story, true story. During the civil war a general asked a lieutenant who certain men were. He found out they were scottish and started sending out circulars to enlisters to get more scotsmen because they were great fighters.

Six months later he stopped that policy-he wrote that they were great fighters but they fought with EVERYONE, even those on their own side!

You should talk to your ma though Charles, the scots are a prickly bunch but they do mellow somewhat with age.

There wasn't anything particularly malicious in my comments though, I'm mainly scottish descent myself. You can go read up on the scots in the american civil war, its all in there, but if you don't choose to believe it, who really cares?
By the by, while like any tribal people (and most countries were composed of tribal people at the time) the scots seemed to have a constant civil war going on between clans, it is well known that the British Army was smart enough to take advantage of this and frequently would disguise their soldiers as one clan or another and butcher another.
