Serious Accident Miraculously Results in Minor Injuries in Fredericton

At 10:36 hrs, on Thursday October 7th, Fredericton Police responded to the intersection of Greenwood Drive and the Marysville Bypass regarding a serious motor vehicle accident.

A tractor trailer unit hauling wood collided with a passenger car carrying two adult males.

The occupants of the car needed to be extricated from the severely damaged vehicle by the Fredericton Fire Department and transported to the DECH. Investigators describe the situation as miraculous that the males sustained only minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The situation required Police to close the intersection and re route traffic as officers conducted the investigation!!

This special weekend is a police initiative designed to remind people that an essential part of the enforcement job is to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways. Educating the public in safe driving practices is a priority. The focus will be on behaviours that put drivers, passengers and other road users most at risk: impaired driving, seat belt use, and all aspects related to aggressive driving. All enforcement agencies across the country have been invited to participate. This initiative has been strategically chosen, as it is a significant long weekend. More people are traveling and traffic crashes are more frequent. Operation Impact is sponsored by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) and Transport Canada and is part of Road Safety Vision 2010, which has a goal of making Canada's roads the safest in the world by 2010.

In the old days, I bet they settle their difference outside of the Building.

I heard there was once a duel outside of the Legislature.







The insults in the Legislature have been going on for years and maybe old style Abel LeBlanc decided that enough is enough!!!!

This wouldn't happen if the MLA'S took their Ritalin as prescribe and kept their BIG mouth shut!!!

Teachers are refusing to bring the students at the Legislature because of the attitude of our so-called elected official!!!!

GOOD FOR ABEL!!!!!!!!!! There always comes a time when someone has to stand up and speak for the people and Abel is the only one with the balls to do it.

We're not exactly sure just who the intended target was but in my humblest of opinions it should be for every damn member of the house because they give the voters and taxpayers of this province the same damn shaft everyday.

Oh sure, he will have to apologize and get down on his knees to beg for the absolute forgiveness of these self-righteous and so called honorable members. But, hey, he got the message across loud and clear.

The man reserves a medal and a good pat on the back. If these "honorable members" can not face the truth as consenting adults should and see for themselves what complete and total idiots they really are, then tough bananas.

I mean, hell, they can't even take being refered to as LIARS, when the rest of us all know damn well that when we see them with their big yaps doing double overtime that they are lying through their teeth, saying all the right things as good puppets and little children should do.

How else are they to save their precious little political asses??

In event, my good friend, life, as usual must go on and the world will still go around because, as of yet to my knowledge, they haven't found a way to go screwin' that up yet. NOT YET!!!

Be it resolved that:

We, as New Brunswickers, will no longer have to listen or view the kind of less than childish displays of disrespect as was witnessed in the People's House today.

Whereas, I have had to turn off my computer while viewing the legislature proceedings in front of my 2 and 5 year old daughters as I didn't want them to learn the derogatory dung being thrown in the Legislature of all places. Heaven forbid I should take them to the house to see the shouting and fighting. As a good parent I can't afford them that same opportunity I was given as a youth because I don't want them to mimic that behaviour in my home or their school.

Whereas, I watch a humble priest open the house in a prayer and within 2 hours watch all "hell" break loose.

Whereas, I do not vote to employ people (who are paid more than I am to care for the sick & injured) that would rather reveal their own hatred and immaturity instead of work for the people.

Whereas, I can watch my 2 & 5 year old daughters argue and forgive with both an "I'm sorry" and then hug each other.

Whereas, MLAs have a responsibilty to live up to a higher standard of respect while fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to sit in Our House.

Whereas, one man (named Charles Leblanc) stands as a threat outside the Legislature grounds for revealing the reality of personalities on his blog but is too dangerous to enter and witness the hypocrisy displayed from those who have banned him, a citizen, from Our House.

Whereas, my Loyalist heritage causes me to be sorely disappointed at those who represented us today by making a mockery of the democracy which was paid for with a very high price through the generations since 1784.

Whereas, Members of the Legislative Assembly need to learn a lesson from New Brunswickers. We may be too stupid to understand the NB Power deal but I am sure we could teach the Members a few things about respect, honour and the ability to "agree to disagree" and the proper use of the shaking of hands.

Mr. Speaker. Please clean up our house. Maybe, and since you used to be a school principal and would understand, you should find a really good bar of soap.
