New Brunswick Premier David Alward grants first interview in his office to Blogger Charles LeBlanc!!!!

Months ago, I asked Opposition Leader David Alward that if he's ever elected Premier of this Province? I wanted to be the first one to interview him in his office.






Well, he got elected Premier and I did confront the Premier the very next day.

During the next few weeks, I decided to leave the new Premier alone because he was very busy getting ready for his new role.

I did get him when he was sworned in as Premier!!!

Around two weeks ago, I emailed the Premier asking for an interview and I was surprise to get a reprisal.

I did noticed the Premier heading for a media scrum so I turned on my camera and asked the Premier une question?

So, it was all arrange that I would sit down in the Premier's office on Friday at 9:00am!!

On this day, the sun was shinning on the Premier's office!!






I told the Premier that I would buy him a coffee. He drinks medium with two creams.

Now, people with ADHD are very well known not to be morning people so for the very first time, I decided to write my questions on a piece of paper so I wouldn't miss any issues with the Premier.

There was a lined up at Tim Horton's and guess who stood right behind moi?

DAN BUSSIERES HIMSELF!!!!!






The poor guy had to listen to me for 10 minutes. I said- Guess who I'm meeting this morning?

The Premier!!!

Of course, I had to agitate the poor guy about the new speaker Dale Graham. I asked if he would take advantage of Dale Graham as he did with Tanker Malley?




I had some fun.

I decided to take a picture of the sunrise and Dan Bussieres walked right by this Blogger.






I always make a stopover at the Centennial Office for a few minutes, < It's part of my daily routine >

But this time it felt good by saying - The Premier is expecting me!!!

He called and told me to go to the second floor.





Once there, I had a little flashback. When I protested in front of the Legislature for 16 days in 2002, I used to use this phone to call my friends in Saint John.






The interview was set at 9:00am sharp but the Premier was busy in another meeting.

I was told that I might get 15 to 20 minutes with the Premier.

I replied- That's not enough!!!

They suggested that I was lucky because the other media gets 5 minutes so therefore I shouldn't complain!!!

I wasn't complaining because it was very nice of the staff to arrange the interview.

I would be the first one to hold such an interview with the new Premier so I wasn't complaining!!

We chatted about different issues about the new Premier and other stuff.

Then finally!!! My name was called at 9:30am to meet with the new Premier.

Down the Hall we went and I gave David Alward his cold coffee.....lol

We sat down around a table. He was more comfortable in that setting than in the Premier's chair.

I was a little nervous because I was going to use my new camera that I just had the day before.




It would be sad if my camera didn't work for the interview.


I never had the chance to sit down with the new Premier. I never really chatted with the guy on a one on one basic. I always have my camera on!!!

So, I knew time was limited so I quickly began my interview while one of his staff was sitting close to us with his recorder. < normal practice >

Part one was about of who is Premier David Alward? Many New Brunswickers don't know the guy!!

I wish to thank the Premier for the interview and I believe it went very well!

I might add that I did manage to asked all my questions or concerns.

Maybe we'll do this again some day???
