I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't know why you give this guy the time of day on your blog. Like I'm supposed to be happy that our mayor is finally going to visit the Emergency Shelter? It's an embarrassment to the city and to everyone who works in the non profit sector. This guy, I can't even say his name, I want to spit, loves to hob nob, even sing a little ditty from the 50's if you give him a microphone at a concert, he'll ham it up and rub elbows with the rich and well to do, but after how many years (must be 16 at least that he's been mayor) he's finally lowering himself to visit the shelter. It took Jordan Graham's visit a few months back to make this guy move out of his comfortable sphere into the unknown - the world of the poorest of the poor.

Shame on him. And shame on you too Charles for sucking up to this guy. He doesn't really like you. He wouldn't invite you over to his house for a beer. He just tolerates you because he knows if he doesn't you'll destroy him on your blog. You act like a sycophant (look that one up in the dictionary) when it comes to this guy, fawning all over him, giving him special consideration and letting him get away with the way he ignores poor people in the hopes of what? A chance to breathe the same air as our exalted leader? If he had a chance, he'd ban you from City Hall too. With very few exceptions (which I can count on one hand) they're all the same, every single one of these politicians - they have no time for the poor and vulnerable but lots of time for clinking glasses with the business elite - and the proof is in the fact that he has never cast his shadow across the door of the Emergency Shelter after many many years as Mayor. Whatever you do, don't turn yourself into his servile media handler by covering it in your blog. It ain't news. It's an embarrassment that it took him this long to do what he should have done on day 1 of his term as mayor a very very very long time ago.
