Are you pissed off about your Property Taxes in New Brunswick??

Didn't see a blog about the property taxes so here goes for my little increase this year..........I am assessed at $114,000.00, up a paltry $11,000.00 from last year !! I dug out all my tax bills and since 2003 to 2010, my assessment has soared by $45,100.....The kicker being I live in the service district of Simonds which is 45 klms from the city of Saint John.....The most major improvements were mae in 2007 when the government offered the interest free loans to make your home more energy efficient, only I used my own money and put in new windows and doors and siding to a total cost of $13,000........So the message here folks I guess is do not improve or Shawn Graham will make you pay for it in the long run..No energy savings as they upped the power bills.When I applied to get at least a rebate on some of the work, but S. Jamieson office(my MLA) said I didn't qualify as I did not have the government inspector assess my house first before doing the energy saving improvements......So this Graham government gets you coming and going and you are still in the hole. So I guess we can get Mr Graham come September and kick his sorry butt to the curb, before the our province is bankrupt and we need China to bail us out.................MJH
