Someone asked me if I would post some posters around Fredericton?

While posting the Bulletin, I noticed in the corner of my eye someone that was giving me a dirty look.

It was General Manager of Downtown Fredericton INC Bruce McCormack!!!!!!!!!!!

A few people left some nasty comments in the Blog about the way people like Bruce removes the Poster.

I quickly went for my camera....

One question for Bruce - can you please tell us where you get the authority to do this? You are a corporation right? You aren't elected or anything - do you hate democracy that much!?

I love how he admits to doing this on video - what an idiot!

I hope someone sues him and uses this as evidence!

Well Brucie, that's an interesting stance you've got. Especially considering that the posters seem to be coming down just as soon as they're being put up (in other words, before the events even take place). That wouldn't be your employees doing it, hmm? Oh right - it is!

That is complete nonsense!
Downtown Fredericton Inc. takes down posters almost as soon as you put them up. They don't even wait until the event that the poster is advertising has passed.

There is a Supreme Court of Canada decision that supports our right to put up posters. Downtown Fredericton, a downtown non-profit organization has no right to employ people to tear down posters of community groups for events that have not happened yet. Shame.
