FREDERICTON IS LOSING ACADIAN POLICE OFFICER YVES DESPRES FOR THE IVORY COAST!!

A Fredericton police officer and former soldier who did a six-month tour of duty in Afghanistan is headed to the Ivory Coast. Constable Yves Despres is one of five Canadian police officers chosen to take part in a nine-month international peace operation mission. The goal is to help rebuild and strengthen police services and create a safer and more stable environment in the African nation.

Very nice guy. Yves is someone that I could have a good honest conversation with.

As a matter of fact? He was the guy who read me my rights en Francais when I was arrested in April.

I was sad to hear he's going to leave the Fredericton Police Force.

We don't have too many Acadians in our Police Force. I believe Quebecers outnumbers Les Acadiens.

I pray that Yves will come back in one piece!!!

I believe their system of policing will match that part of the world???
