SOMEONE MIGHT DIE THIS WINTER IN FREDERICTON BECAUSE OF THE NEW LOCATION OF SOCIAL DEVELOPPMENT??? DO THE SNOBS CARE??? OF COURSE NOT!!!

I believe it's about time that I wrote a blog about this issue.

One issue many people agrees with me is the moving of the Social Development < I hate that new name > office in the deep woods in the North Side of Fredericton.

As God as my witness, I hope this never happens but I believe someone will be found frozen to death or have frost bite after trying to reach that needy building.

Many of the readers will say - You're crazy!!!! This could never happen in Fredericton.

I remember when I was in Saint John, I didn't have the money to take a bus to go around the City.

The City transit system in Saint is the best because the City is so large.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a little problem and showed up at the Head office of Social Development on Kings Street.

I was greeted by a true snob.

Not a bad individual but you could tell that she was from a generation of Snobby genes.

Then a polite debate began.

She told me if I knew there was a Regional office for people who have problems with Social Assistance?

I told her that I knew they opened a new office.

She came out with a map showing me the location.




I told her that it was too far for me to walk there.

She suggested that I take the Bus???

I told that I was broke! I'm on Social Assistance!!!

She continued- Can you call your case worker?

I continued by telling the snob that I didn't have a phone!!!!

The only way for me to contact my worker is by email and because of the privacy act the workers won't reply to their email.

She couldn't understand that I had access to the internet but no phone?

I told the girl that I wasn't interest in a phone. The only way to contact me is via email.

The woman was getting really frustrated. < All they wanted to do is get rid of this pain in the butt blogger from the area >

She went as far as saying - If I give you a quarter? Would you call?

I quickly replied that it would be no good because I would get a answering machine.

At the end, another snob came to the scene. I had two snobs facing me and I could tell they believe they were above me with their answers.

At the end, I got what I wanted from a contact with the Government and my issue help 40 other people who had the same problem.

I believe in the near future, they'll lock the building from people like myself who needs some info?

You must understand that many people who got no money are too proud to ask for money for the need of a Bus fare.

Myself, I will never take the bus to the new building because once my business is done. I'll have to wait for the next bus to arrive.

What am I suppose to do while I wait?

I feel sad for the workers of the Government in that new building. < Mark the date >

These workers used to enjoy their break or lunch hour by going for a walk in the downtown area. That nice relaxation is done now!!! There's no place to go because the building is located in nowhere land.






Now? They don't call this area the North side for nothing.

Every instance, I walked the two bridges? Once I hit the end of the walking trail bridge, you can feel the cool wind hitting you.

Can you imagine walking way out there in the cold winter months?

Someone will die trying to reach that new building and maybe someone will get lost?

It's a strange area to locate a Welfare office.

Why was it located there?

I just heard on CBC News that the snobs might cancel the bus route to the new building!!!

Sigh ...only in Fredericton!!!

If someone dies or received Frost Bite? Who's going to held responsible? The snobs of Fredericton or the Liberal Government?

Let me guess? There will be an inquest and there will be some recommendations but nothing will be done.

Why wait till someone dies to act on this issue?

The Government made a mistake and they should correct it!!!!

If something happens? You have heard it in this blog first!!!
