0000700046

I heard of this Red Bull drink never paid too much attention to it until last weekend.

While in Moncton, close to 15 group of teenagers walked by me at 5:00pm with each a Red Bull drink in their hand.

This was the first time I saw so many people in a group drinking Red Bull.

So I began asking asking some questions? What is Red Bull anyway?

I was told it was a drink full of caffeine and sugar.

One store owner told me that young kids as young as 14 year old comes to his store to buy this energy drink which cost close to three bucks!!!

What is it?

An wanta be ADHD drink?

I found out this evening how popular this drink really was?

While walking on King's Street I noticed this Red Bull vehicle making a stop.

Suddenly around 10 teenagers began running towards the car.

It reminded me of the kids running towards an Ice Cream truck.

Anyway, since I was going to blog this issue? I quickly went for my camera to take a picture of the crowd of teenagers surrounding the Vehicle.

Then suddenly, a Teenager ran toward me and shouted- DON'T TAKE MY PICTURE!!!

At first, I believe the kid was coming after me. I said to myself - This should be interesting? An wanta be ADHD kid against a True ADHD individual!!!...lol

I just ignored the guy and continue to work on my story.

I just put my camera down and went to chat with the girls who were driving the vehicle. They were giving free Red Bull products.

My God? It was terrible!!!! People were coming to the girls and begging for a free drink!!!

It reminded me of a junkie who wanted their fixed!!!

It was very difficult to continue explaining what I wanted? I wanted a picture for my blog and that would be it!!!

The very friendly Girls gladly posed for a picture and went on their way while people were still shouting for some Red Bull!!!

I was going to take a few more shots of the crowd of teenagers but my batteries went dead!!!!...grrrrr

So? Is Red Bull good for ya??? Is it truly an energy ADHD drink???

After drinking my first Red Bull < the girls gave me > It was ok but I'll stick to my Dr.Pepper!!!!

They have sugar and caffeine, they are labelled as 'energy drinks' but should not be taken after exercise, there have been several deaths relating to mixing it with alcohol and an irish student who drank three cans after exercising:.

"The report makes the following recommendations:
a) stimulant drinks should be labelled with an indication that they are unsuitable for children (under 16 years of age), pregnant women and individuals sensitive to caffeine
b) they should be classified with other beverages of high caffeine
content
c) the consumption of stimulant drinks by children under 16 years
should be discouraged
d) caution should be exercised in the consumption of stimulant drinks
with alcohol
e) they should not be consumed in association with sport and exercise
as a thirst quencher
f) they are unsuitable rehydration agents for use in sport and during
exercise."

Drinks like Red Bull are off the charts in terms of their acidity. These drinks erode the enamel right off your teeth.

Enjoy those thinning front teeth and root canals!

So lets just say that the soft drink companies who missed this bandwagon losing billions in sales are fighting back successfully convincing no name brains of a bunch of chemical maligned bullshit. And the wilted public are licking it up.Thankfully the teenagers are not as dumb, yet!

Mikel continues his "I know it all" tirade for his benefit apparently.
The vitamins and minerals and all else is listed on the web sites for these great drinks,Rockstar being the best of the bunch, but Red bull by first in advertising.
There have NOT been several people die!
There have been many people die from alcohol poisoning plus other overindulgences.
Actually more people have died from too much water at the wrong time thinning out the electrolytic system, which carries the electrical impulse that keeps you alive. So break down mikel and do a research for a change. You are getting sickening.

Red Bull May Lead to Heart Damage, Scientists Say

According to the latest research, the popular energy drink Red Bull can increase the risk of heart damage. The participants of the study were university students aged between 20 and 24. Researchers found that just one sugar free can of Red Bull raised the level of stickiness of the blood and could lead to the formation of blood clots.

The target market of the caffeinated drink is Australian students. After drinking a can of Red Bull scientists noticed that Australian students had nearly the same cardiovascular profile as someone who has heart disease.

The company producing the drink denied the negative effect of Red Bull, which is, by the way, marketed in 143 countries around the world. According to the company's officials the drink passed several scientific tests that proved its safeness. They noted that the drink was not banned in any country where it had been introduced.

But according to Dr. Scott Willoughby, of the Cardiovascular Research Center at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide University, the results of the study were alarming.

"After one can it seemed to turn the young individual into one with more of the type of profile you would expect to see with someone with cardiovascular disease. People who already have existing cardiovascular disease may want to talk to their physician before they drink Red Bull in future," the scientist said.

The 30 students who passed the test were shocked by the results. Previously some of them drank up to 8 can per night in order to stay awake to study. Most of these students are now refusing to drink Red Bull, saying they will never consume it again.

Just a little note, Red Bull was banned in the UK because of the high levels of MSG in it.
